In my sophomore year of Watertown High School I took a class called TV and Radio production or something like that taught by Mr. Nap. While Mr. Nap tried hard to make the class interesting, the class was at best silly because the equipment we were using was played out more then your mama jokes. The only cool part is that some of the old “carts” or radio tapes that we used were donated by WEEI and had old Johnny Most’s Celtics calls on them. Well, that appears to have all changed. The current crop of high school students will be spoiled by the state of the art community access T.V. Studio that is being finished in the schools basement. Check it out here: http://www.wcatv.org I hope that some interesting town programming comes from this. (Note: interviews with Mr. Noftsker and Ms. Pardis do not constitute interesting programming.) a few ideas for new shows: have 2 town residents debate sides of a town issue (example: the police station’s move or the riverside house), have interviews and performances from Watertown based bands like Endway, Razmig, and The Sczcylack’s.
