Rain/Thunderstorms Vs. Traffic

I am about to get on my Bike and ride about 8 miles to work. I get off work at 6pm today and at that time the forecast is for rain and thunderstorms. This gave me slight pause and made me consider taking the bust into work; But upon further review, I would rather deal with the storms then sit in traffic for 2 hours.
