Spoiler Alert: don’t read if you have not seen the new superman movie and don’t want to know the plot line. In Superman Returns we learn that Superman is the father of Lois Lane’s 5 year old son. In addition, it turns out the kid is a chip off the old block and is developing superpowers. However, superman’s kid thinks that his father is Lois’s fiancé played by James Marsden (Ironically Marsden plays Cyclops in the X-Men franchise)

            Considering that Superman is not doing as well at the box office as its studio hoped, there might not be another installment in the franchise. If they do make another Superman movie, I have the perfect plotline. As Superman’s son’s powers develop more he realizes that Superman must be his father. The Super son watches his father constantly save the rest of man kind from dangers, but becomes resentful that his father only occasionally shows up to see him. Thus, the Super Son turns against his father and becomes Superman’s number one nemesis. It would be the Darth Vader vs. Luke Skywalker dynamic only in reverse.
