Watertown Library Grand Opening (pictures and video)

Today was the much anticipated opening of the Watertown Public Library. Some ballyhooed construction project fail to meet expectation such as the Big Dig and the Fleet Center/TB BankNorth Garden. Others meet and exceed those expectations like Gillette Stadium. I am happy to report that from what I saw today that the Watertown Public Library falls into the Gillette Stadium category of meeting and even exceeding expectations. The Library opening was attended by well over a thousand people including speakers like Representative Rachael Kaprielian and Mark Sideris. Town Council President Clyde Younger was unable to attend, but had a statement read for him. I would describe the inside of the Library in more detail, but I suggest heading down and checking out the facility for your self. If you cant make it down today, here are a few videos and pictures to tide you over. The videos were taken via my camera phone and thus are not very long or of great quality but here they are. The first one is of Rachael Kaprielian speaking at the opening and the second is people beginning to file into the new library.
