Today was the much anticipated opening of the Watertown Public Library. Some ballyhooed construction project fail to meet expectation such as the Big Dig and the Fleet Center/TB BankNorth Garden. Others meet and exceed those expectations like Gillette Stadium. I am happy to report that from what I saw today that the Watertown Public Library falls into the Gillette Stadium category of meeting and even exceeding expectations. The Library opening was attended by well over a thousand people including speakers like Representative Rachael Kaprielian and Mark Sideris. Town Council President Clyde Younger was unable to attend, but had a statement read for him. I would describe the inside of the Library in more detail, but I suggest heading down and checking out the facility for your self.
