While I am sure we will have a few more heat waves before it is all said and done, the air this morning had an end of summer feel. It gave me flashbacks of the days when I was younger and would dread the end of summer and the coming school year. But now a days, while I still love the summer, I am more at piece with the coming fall. Thus, while eating my breakfast this morning I will blast the greatest ode to fall of all time Kay Hanley’s Fall. On a side note, the best songs about looking back at summer are Buffalo Tom’s “Summer Song”, Dashboard Confessional’s “So Long So Long” and Don Henley’s Boys of Summer. I am sure however that in a week the temperate will once again be nearing triple digits, but let the record show that the air this morning was the first foreshadowing of fall.
