I am a registered independent who usually votes democrat and is extremely frustrated with the current state of the Democratic Party. The Republicans have had control of the Congress, The Presidency, a majority of the Supreme Court, and a Majority of the governorships for a while now. During the republicans reign of power the last few year we have seen major screw ups and scandals: The failure of intelligence about WMD, the mismanagement of the Iraq war once we were there, the Katrina fiasco, the Jack Abramoff scandal, the Valerie Plame scandal just to mention a few.  However the democrats have not really been able to gain any traction and here is why; they have no clear concise message. It is only 3 months away from a very important mid term election and I have yet to hear what the message of the Democratic Party is. The democrats need to clearly state what they plan to do if they get control over the House or Senate or they will again be open to the any labels the Republicans put on them and again end up not gaining control of Congress.
