At many Stop and Shops, CVS, Star Markets, Home Depots, and other similar stores they have self service check out where you can scan and pay for your own items without the help of a cashier or a bagger. I hardly ever use this option, but when there is a line at the other check out options and no one is using the self check out, I just use the self check out. But, I always feel a little guilty because if self service check out becomes the norm it will be at the expense of many jobs. Does anyone else ever get self service check out guilt?
