What do other people think of the group? I like the first album a lot and of all the new groups that WFNX has played a ton the past few years, MCR is the only one I see real potential in. The lead singer Gerard Way reminds me of Billy Corgan. Their new single The Black Parade is a three part epic and not typical of the run of the mill first single. At time the song sounds a little too much a like a rip off from some of the stuff Green Day did on American Idiot ( I think the albums have the same producer) ; However, Green Day ripped off stuff from The Who and a bunch of other people and it is nearly impossible not to rip someone off so I give them pass for that.  Check out the new song here: http://www.myspace.com/mychemicalromance
