10 Million Under The Cap

The Patriots are 10 million under the salary cap and that hurt them tonight; the Patriots lost Branch, Givens, Vinatieri and failed to resign Ty Law this off-season. Anyone of them could have had an impact on tonight game if they were still here. When it mattered, their wide receivers could not create any space to get open or break for a long run. Brady seems flummoxed to the point where more of his throws then usual are off line. Aside from Maroney, tell me any Patriot that the other team has to fear making a big play? Watson and Graham despite their talent, have yet to become a consistent threat any where near the level of TE’s like Shannon Sharp, Tony Gonzales and Ben Coates that some have thought they could become. Gostkowski, for the second straight week had a low flying kick blocked. This is going to start the questions about him to increase which could have a snowball effect on his psyche.  The Pats defense played well overall, but had 2 major break downs that led to scores. (Harrison was out for the second Bronco big play)  In addition, unlike the years the Pats went to the super bowl the defense is not creating turnovers. Somewhere Ron Borges is typing and laughing.
