The Broncos always play the Pats tough for 2 reasons. One, their blitz has a history of getting to Brady, and Bledsoe before him. Second, their zone running blocking scheme has caused the Pats problems. (the Pats did stop it for most of last year’s playoff game though. On the other hand, the Broncos are in a little bit of turmoil. Jake Plummer is on the hot seat after 2 straight less then stellar performances. If the Pats can stop Rod Smith from making any big plays to bail Plummer out, and keep the running game as contained as they did in last year’s playoff game I don’t see the Broncos putting up a high number. As for the Pats offense, their running game should be able to slow down the Broncos blitzes on Brady. In addition, look for a lot of screen passes by the Pats early on to keep the Broncos D-Line guessing.
