Using E-Voting machines is an idea whose time should never come. At the very least some nerd is going to hack one of the machines to give a few thousand votes to Chewbacca. More likely, people there will be people who will try to be more devious and fix an election. Then we always got the SciFi possibility of the machines becoming intelligent themselves and electing Cyborg leaders. (Some have speculated that Dick Cheney is our first Cyborg VP and needs to drink pure crude oil to survive) Are current system, is far from perfect, but it is the best system we got. I’d rather have a 78 year old grand ma counting my vote instead of an E-Voting machine any day of the week.
