When I first looked at the Patriots schedule at the start of the year, I chalk this away game vs. the Bengals as a loss. But, something interesting happened last week. The Bengals won an emotional away game at Pittsburg and the Patriots lost a home game vs. Denver. When picking games in the NFL, sometimes you have to go with the team that needs the win more. In this case it is the Patriots. However, the biggest mismatch this week is the Bengals receivers vs. the Patriots cornerback especially since there is a good chance that Ellis Hobbs is not playing. In the first 3 games of the season the Patriots corners, have played ok at times but have been susceptible to big plays which is the Bengals specialty. Add in the fact that the Patriots offense has looked about as anemic as an Olsen Twin and it does not look good for the Pats. Despite all that, I just have a feeling that the Patriots will win this game. If the Patriots are to win, 2 things must happen. The Patriots D-Line must exploit their talent advantage over the Bengals O-Line and cause a turnover or two. Chad Jackson must play and have a big game. Final Score Prediction: Patriots 28-Bengals 24
