I got of my Corrections class at UMass this Saturday afternoon and turned on my walkman while waiting for the redline train and got the most wonderful news; The Yankees were down 8-0. By the time I got to Harvard Square and then rode my bike home back to H20town, the 175 million dollar payroll Yankees were no more. In addition A-Fraud had a 0-3 day and an error. Another asshole Gary Sheffield had an error as well. Good Times. My new mantra for the playoffs is anyone but the Mets. In general, it is good for baseball when a team without an exorbitant payroll wins it all a decent percentage of the time which will happen this year if the Mets don’t take it.
