Patriots vs. Buffalo Recap
Here are a few quick thoughts about the Pats game today.
- That first drive was really well executed; this could be expected since the Pats coaching staff had 2 weeks to script it. I wonder what the percentage of scores is for the Patriots on the first drive after a bye week since Belichick has been the coach.
- I nominate the Bills late hit on Brady that occurred 5 seconds after Brady went down as the dumbest play I have seen so far this year. It was third down and the Pats had been stopped, but that moronic penalty kept the drive going.
- The result of that drive being extended was yet another strong TD run from Cory Dillon who had 2 today capped off with his end zone dance.
- I don’t know what the worst J.P Losman play of the game was. Was it that weak thrown interception at the end of the first half, or losing the football while trying to avoid the ref? You make the call.
- The only negative for the Pats was the offensive line did not open a ton of holes for the running game or protect Brady well at times.
- Chad Jackson is slowly emerging as a deep threat and a reverse threat, but he needs to work on his end zone dance.
- While I have been annoyed with Kevin Faulk in the past for his propensity to fumble, he made a key heads up play today by recovering that Brady fumble when a lot of the other players had stopped playing assuming the play was dead.
