I have read a lot of the media coverage about the Sebastian Telfair chain snatching/ Fabolous shooting incident with the latest report being that there is a video tape of an associate of Fabolous stealing Telfair’s chain. Something that I have not seen reported in any of the media outlets is the nature of the chain. Reports have mentioned that the chain was worth $50,000, but no one has stated if it was just a really expensive chain, or it was a chain that had some sort of symbol or medallion on it that signified a crew. If it was just an expensive chain, it could just be construed as a crime for $$$. However, if the chain had symbolic value, it was less a crime about money and more a crime of disrespect and intimidation.
