Patriots vs. Vikings Recap

Here are some quick hits about the Pats game tonight.

  • Anyone else notice that Brad Johnson threw 2 of the worst interceptions of the season right after Mike Tirico said the Vikings should consider giving him an extension because he does not make a lot of mistakes.
  • It was one of the few low lights of the night, Brady looked Bledsoesque throwing off his back foot for that first INT.
  • Anyone else think that the Vikings coach (whose name escapes me) was holding a menu for TGI Fridays and not an actual NFL play calling sheet?
  • You got to love Chad Jackson literally crawling past defenders into the end zone. He reminded me off a 18 month trying to escape the toddler room at work.
  • The Patriots defensive line dominated all night and pulled off the rare 3 consecutive sacks something that I have not scene since I was playing Sports Talk Football on the Sega Genesis.
  • Anyone else catch Brady telling off the Vikings fans after the Watson TD?
  • Or how bought Cory Dillon throwing the ball across the field after a long run, Watson spiking the ball after the catch, and the Pats going 5 wide with a 24 point lead: that’s the Pats at their vindictive best.
  • Despite all the criticism he gets from his fellow media members, I thought Tony Kornheiser did a good job and was a lot more entertaining then Joe Theismann.
  • You got to love Maroney’s big plays back in his college stomping grounds.
  • Anyone else think that the Patriots deliberately did not throw to Troy Brown down the stretch in order for Brown to break the Pats reception record at home?
  • Finally, I want to point out that this win began with another well scripted and executed opening drive for a score.
