This is an odd game in that it means little in terms of post season chances for both teams (both teams will get in) , but means the world since it might determine home field advantage in the playoffs. In the past, the Pats defense has befuddled Manning, until last year when Manning torched the Pats secondary. In should be noted thought that in last years game the Pats were without Rodney Harrison and featured Dwanye Starks who got burned more often then dinners I attempt to make. Though the Pats defense is better this year, I think they will have a hard time containing an ever improving Manning and the Colts offense. Many think the Patriots will run the ball a lot against the Colts porous run defense in order to keep the ball out of Manning’s hands; the Colts most likely think this will be the Pats strategy too, and Belichick knows the Colts think the Pats are going to run. So while Dungy’s D has been focusing to stop the run all week, look for the Patriots to come out throwing the ball with a lot of quick passes and screens to Dwight Freeney’s side to keep his rush in check.

            There is also the Vinatieri factor; The Patriots fans should give him a standing O at the start of the game. In the end, this will be a game of who can score the most touch downs not kick the most field goals. Vinatieri will make a few kicks after the Patriots bend but don’t break defense stops the Colts in the red zone a few times. However, the Patriots will consistently put the ball in the end zone.
