Ugly Game Ends Pats Streak

  • The Jets just wanted it more today.
  • The play that was a microcosm of that fact was the Jets’ WR Cotchery pulling a touchdown away from Hobbs who had a chance for an INT.
  • The passing game for the Pats still is not in sync. Brady is off with throws now and then. The offensive line is giving up to many sacks and pressures. The wide receivers are not open enough and not making enough big plays.
  • The Pats special Team Return coverage continuous to be atrocious.
  • With out Seymour and Warren in for much of the game, the Jets managed to get some running first downs which you don’t see the Pats defense typically give up.
  • Eric Mangini out coached Belichick today: The Jets defense confused the Pats all game. They took more shots down field. The Pennington poach punt was a great call. Also, judging by their handshake after the game that lasted for about a nanosecond, I don’t think Belichick was too happy that the consecutive loss streak ended to Mangini off all people.
  • Two weeks ago the Pats were trying to get home-field advantage. Now the division is back in play. Not good.
  • The Foxboro home crowd has been terrible since the Eagles Super Bowl win. The Fans got spoiled and stopped making noise in close games until the forth quarter. Today was a classic example where the home field crowd was non-existent; there were key times in the game when I heard the cheerleaders over the entire crowd. Unacceptable.
