Well, the prediction I made at the end of my last post took about 15 minutes to be wrong. The sox have reportedly signed Drew to a 5 year 70 million dollar deal. Also it is being reported that the Sox are interested in Eric Gagne. I am all for the Sox getting him. There is 50/50 shot he will be too hurt to be an effective pitcher, but there are not really a lot of good closer options out there. And I really hope that Craig Hansen is being watched by some sort of chaperone in the off-season to make sure he is focused on pitching and not drinking and pawing girls’ asses at rock bars in case the Sox need him to pitch meaningful innings. Finally, good news regarding Jon Lester it appears his Cancer is remission. Here is hoping for his continually improving health.
