For some reason, I found this advertisement that I saw on the Red Line on my way to UMB today really funny. It was advertising “Divorce at half the cost.” I can just picture a couple sitting next to each other on the train and one of them looking at that advertisement and thinking to themselves, “hmm, I was going to put off filing for divorce  until I saved up some cash, but now that it is half price….” Unfortunately for anyone considering divorce the fine print of the sign warns “these services are not a substitute for a competent counsel.” Translation: yes you can file for divorce for only $399 but without a good lawyer, you will most likely get screwed.
