Restaurant Review: Greek Isles (With Pic)

This weekend I went to eat at Greek Isles, a restaurant that recently opened on 96 Peterborough St Boston, MA with a couple of friends. The Restaurant has limited indoor seating (I would guess 30 people tops) and some outdoor seating for when the weather is more conducive. It appears to be a take out place first and a sit down establishment second much like the legendary Demos Restaurant in Watertown MA. Inside, there is nice blue and white Greek décor, a few pictures of the Greek Islands on the wall, and a flat screen T.V.

How was the food? The Dolmathas (Stuff Grape Leaves) I had where delicious. The Beef Shish kabob I sampled was average and the portion size was not big enough at least it was not big enough for someone like myself who was literally raised on the gigantic Demos Beef Shish Kabob dinner. The Greek Salad was mediocre, but the French Fries I stole off my friend’s plate where really good. The food was prepared quickly and the service is cafeteria style where you grab your own plate and sit down. In the end, it is a good addition to the Fenway area’s restaurant row. My Overall Grade: B
