"Cause The Greatest Rapper Of All Time...

Died on March 9" (From Canibus Second Round K.O.) Not just on March 9, but 10 years ago today. Since then N.Y. has gone from one of the true Meccas in music (Biggie, Nas, Jay Z, Wu Tang, Mobb Deep, et al) to a second rate hip hop city. Right now the biggest hit from N.Y. is Mims terrible single "This is why I am hot." Can you even imagine a song that bad getting played in N.Y. in the 90s. Older artists like Jay, Nas, Busta, and DMX failed to bring N.Y. back last year with average at best albums. Even if their albums were good, they could not bring N.Y. back. N.Y. needs some new blood and unfortunately Saigon and Papoose's albums keep getting pushed back. When Biggie was killed 10 years ago today, it left Nas and Jay Z to battle it out for K.O.N.Y. Now, that crown does not even matter anymore which is a disgrace to Christopher Wallace's memory.
