Galen St.’s Becoming Pizza Row

On February 24th 2005 I remember coming home from watching the band The Fight perform at the Middle East and smelling something burning. The scent was so strong I thought it might be a problem in my own house, or a near one. However, upon further inspection it did not appear to be near me. The next morning I awoke to news reports about the now infamous fire that claimed many Galen St. Businesses. From the ashes of that fire, a new building was built. One of the new businesses that will soon occupy that building is Boston House Of Pizza. There is already a pizza place about 50 feet away called Newton Corner House Of Pizza. It will be interesting to see if 2 pizza places this close to each other can both thrive. Throw in the fact that Athens Pizza, Uno Chicago Grill, and Bertucci’s are also less then a half a mile away on each end of Galen St and you have makings of a Pizza Row.
