For a while there, the Bruins had a 3-1 lead in the second period against Montreal and their season still had meaning. Then, Montreal scored 5 straight goals to win the game 6-3 and the Bruins season now has as much life as the Sam Brownback presidential campaign. On the plus side, Kessel played well tonight and has shown sparks of greatness since coming back from cancer. On the downside, the Bruins defense, in a word, sucks. The Bruins should now go into Celtics mode and start tanking games. Right now, they have the 9th worst record in the NHL. However, with a little effort (or should I say lack of effort) they could end up with the 5th worst record in hockey and that is where they landed last year and drafted Kessel with that pick.
