Pictures: Stone Markers, Painted Bird Foot Prints and Swans Along The Charles River
I rode my bike along the Waltham, Watertown, Cambridge, and Boston parts of the Charles River today and saw many an interesting site. I had noticed the historical stone markers along the Charles before, but had never noticed all the stone markers telling what kinds of animals and Native American tribes lived in the area. On the bridge over the Charles on the Waltham/Watertown line I noticed someone had painted yellow bird footprints. In addition, I saw a pretty large flock of swans near the BU Bridge. They were on the other side of the Charles River from where I was riding so I could not get a close up picture, but from a distance I was able to get pictures of the entire flock. Below are pictures of the stone markers, the bird foot prints, and the swans.
