When is a bike-Path, Not A bike Path?
As many of you know, my primary mode of transportation and of just chilling out in general is to ride my bike. For years now, there has been a plan to create a bike path on Grove Street/School Street and eventually all the way to Alewife/The Minuteman Bike Trial via the old rail road line. The plan has moved at the pace of a turtle, and I don’t mean the teenage mutant ninja kind. To learn more about that project go to: http://watertownbikeped.org I am not sure if it is part that project, but I noticed there is area designated as a bike path next to the sidewalk near the Lexus dealership on Arsenal Street. The Path starts on School Street and as you head toward the Square on the path, you eventually come to a locked gate. Behind the gate, is a green sign that clearly indicates that this is the continuation of the bike path. (Picture Below) I wonder if am supposed to hope over the gate while on my bike, crash through the gate, or dismount and pick the lock to keep riding.
