Hadouken!!!!!!!
Since I only got to hear Matsuzaka’s first start on the radio while at work, the first thing I did when I got home was turn on the T.V. to watch the highlights. When watching the highlights of Matsuzaka’s impressive array of pitches, one word came into my mind, Hadouken!!!! Ryu in the classic video game Street Fighter was not the fastest fighter, the strongest fighter, the most agile fighter, nor did he have the best special moves. However, Ryu was really good at everything and the combination of all his skills made him the best fighter in the game. So it is with Matsuzaka. He has so many very good pitches that the combination will make him one the best in the game. Though it was the crappy Royals, I foresee many teams with similar hapless swings because they have no idea what Matsuzaka is going to attack them with next: Fastball? Slider? Shuuto? Curve ball, Change Up, Gyro Ball? Hell, one of these days he might unleash an actual Hadouken.
*Note: In case anyone tries to find racial insensitivity in me comparing Matsuzaka to a Japanese video game character, I only chose to compare him to Ryu for the reason stated above and not because Ryu is Japanese in the game. If you ask why I did not compare Matsuzaka to Ken, the answer to that as everyone already knows is that Ryu is better then Ken.
