Fred Thomson is the former senator from Tennessee who is considering running for the Republican presidential nomination. Notably,  Thomson is also an accomplished character actor appearing in most recently Law & Order and such films as Die Hard 2 and Barbarians at The Gate. If I was Thomson, I would coincide announcing running for president with taking the role as president in the next season of 24. It would create an existential surrealism that would not only blur the lines of reality for American voters, but also the terrorists.
