Here are some trade ides of the Celtics. It should be noted that all the trades I propose where checked for salary cap palatability using ESPN’s Trade Machine: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/trademachine

Gerald Green, Wally Szczerbiak, and the # 5 pick to Memphis for Pau Gasol: Gasol wants out of Memphis and the Celtics could use another scoring big man. Memphis could use the #5 pick to get a solid NBA player, Green has potential to be a big scorer, and Szczerbiak which match out the salaries.

Szczerbiak and the # 5 Pick to Portland for Zack Randolph. Portland has expressed an interest in getting another high pick to pick talented P.G. (and Greg Oden’s Best Friend)  Michael Conley Jr. There is a good chance Conley will still be there at # 5 if point guard strapped Atlanta does not take him at #3. Randolph is a young talented player who could combine with Jefferson to give the Celtics a strong low post presence. In addition, Portland already has Aldridge to play power forward and will draft Oden and thus not need a third big man.
