Earning $3 The Hard Way

I was at the Watertown Mall early today when I was stopped by a women and asked if I wanted to participate in a survey for a small compensation. I asked what the survey was about and she said I would watch a trailer of a summer movie and answer some market research questions about it. (she did not use the term market research) I said sure, and when I told the women my age she made me watch the movie trailer for my sex/age demographic; The movie trailer turned out to be for I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry staring Adam Sandler and Kevin James. I then had to answer a bunch of multiple choice and open ended questions about if I wanted to see the movie, watch the trailer again, then ask some more questions, and repeat. All questions that where asked where pretty damn similar and had me repeating the same few points over and over again: 1. The movie seems like a one joke movie 2. Adam Sandler and Kevin James are not my dream comedy team 3. The only redeeming quality of the movie is the fact that Jessica Beal is hot. While the idea of getting paid to watch a movie trailer sounds good on the surface, in the end $3 is not adequate compensations for repeatedly watching a crappy movie trailer.
