There is nothing better to watch on a random night in July then a rookie like Kason Gabbard pitching a complete game shutout while striking out 8. Gabbard who is not as highly touted a prospect as Jon Lester or Clay Buchholz is now 3-0 for the Sox. The key pitch for Gabbard tonight and most likely for the rest of his career was the curve ball which he had working. On a side note, bonus points to anyone who can tell me why the number 3419 is important in Red Sox history.
