Zeus Attacks

At approximately 4:39pm today, I saw a flash of light that was instantaneously followed by a crash of thunder. Luckily the bolt does not have appeared to cause any damage, but it was one of the loudest roars of thunder I have heard in years. This type of thing seemed more common in the past, but I have noticed that many thunderstorms seem to lose their ferocity as they near Boston during the past few years. This did not happen today; a look at the radar shows that many of today's storms seemed to have blossomed right over the city.
