Hot Stove Cool Music Highlights and Pictures

Here are 10 highlights from the amazing Hot Stove Cool Music show that was over 6 hours of great music, comedy, and baseball talk all for a great cause:
10. Listening to Peter Gammons and Theo Epstein talking baseball and taking questions from the crowd.
9. Comedian Mike O’Malley doing a great job of adlibbing during the down time in between sets when they where auctioning things off for charity. Favorite bit was when he was mocking some dude in a muscle t-shirt as the guy climbed up the stairs after asking a dumb ass question.
8. Watching a healthy Peter Gammons belting out classic rock tunes with a voice that reminds me a little bit of Clapton
7. The people in the crowd bidding insane amounts of money for the various auctioned items that all went to a good cause.
6. The last child at work was picked up at 6:10 today and it was about 6:30 by the time I got to Fenway and I was worried that I had missed either the Kay or Buffalo Tom performance. After, I picked up my tickets at the will call window I called my brother to see where the hell he was at and who should I see outside of Fenway as I was talking on the phone? Kay herself. I asked her when she was going on and she told me 10 minutes which was enough time for my brother to show up and catch her set.
5. Theo Epstein playing guitar with Buffalo Tom while they performed classics such as Tail Lights Fade.
4. Kay doing her new Nicky Passes Marble Arch as her show closer again. I fucking love that song and it was even better the second time I heard it live.
3. Kay Hanley joining Buffalo Tom for a cover of Blondie’s Dreamin
2. Theo Epstein checking his phone for the Sox score while up on stage and then informing the crowd that Papi just hit a 2 run HR to take the lead. I actually video taped this and you can watch it here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=TnQZBClZjHs
1. John Legend  delivering with a stirring set that included many RNB soul man performance cliché’s but they all worked. Especially when he hopped into the bleachers and sang from the crowd while is backing band played dance to the music and all the women around let out the requisite squeal.
