No Hittah!!!!!!
I was at a BBQ tonight and missed the first 7 innings of tonights game; thankfully I got home in time to see history. Sometimes I try to explain to non sports fans the appeal of sports. Tonight is exhibit A; In few other areas in life there is a chance to see historic human drama unfold. Most other forms of entertainment like movies, books, theater et al there is suspense but it is artificial because the ending has already been predetermined. Not so in sports. In sports, a 23 year old rookie, making his second major league start, can pitch a no-hitter, when he would have been pitching today if Wakefield did not get hurt. Kudos to Pedroia and CoCo for making key plays to keep the no-no going. Props to Tek for calling a great game. But most of all, congratulations to Clay Bucholtz for what was the first of what should be many classic moments in his Red Sox uniform.
