That Was Easy (Pats Beat Jets)

First off, game ball has to go to the offensive line. They opened up holes for the running game from the opening drive and gave Brady enough time to knock up a supermodel every time he went back to pass. Second, watching Moss and Welker today made me realize just how crappy our wide recievers where last year. The Maroney and Morris combo looked solid and the decision to start off running the ball was a smart one to throw off the Jets who wanted blitz Brady from the get go. The Hobbs kick off return was a thing of beauty and for some reason it surpised me that no one in NFL history has run it back longer then 108 yards. On a side note, when the Pats punted with 5:12 left if the first quarter, they got a penalty called against them for touching the ball with in 5 yards of the goal line. Did I hear the ref wrong or is this a new rule or something? Players have always tried to down the ball within the 5 and lower in the past and it was never a penalty.
