Another One Bites The Dust (6-0)
•I love the how the Patriots ran Eckel for a TD at the end there. It was sentimental because Eckel went to Navy where Belichick’s late dad coached and it was supercilious because the extra points where not necessary.
•The Cowboys played pretty well aside from the fact that they shot themselves in the foot a lot with obvious penalties like that hold on the 4th down play and when their receivers did not set before they went in motion.
•Stallworth arrived today as a Patriot. His catch, stiff arm, and run for the TD was sweet even though he almost pulled a Leon Lett at the end there.
•If that Moss catch was ruled a TD it would have been an all time great catch. Brady also missed Moss twice on that fake reverse and the flea flicker which could have been TDs. Other then that and the fumble, Brady was perfect.
•It should be noted that the Pats won today and put up 48 points without a real running threat with Maroney out and Morris hurt for most of the game.
•Dallas was dumb kicking the field goal instead of going for the TD on 4th.
•My only major complaint on the day was some bad tackling by the defense at times.
•Wes Welker was in full great white hope mode today.
•Gagne should send the Pats a thank you card.
