The announcement of the post season awards are the most anticlimactic events in sports. People passionately debate who should win MVP, Rookie of the Year, Cy Young, et. al. all year, and then when it finally gets announced who wins on some weekday afternoon a few weeks after the season ends, I always have the "eh" reaction whether the Boston player wins or not. It is not that I don't care, but the time of year I care about a sport the least is always a few weeks after a season ends. This is usually do to a combination of factors including usually the hot stove season has not hit full swing yet, general mental exhaustion from the season, and other sports are just starting to hit into gear.
