Legal Test Kitchen Review
I went to the Legal Test Kitchen for the first time last night for a friends B-Day. Before I went, I looked at the website which said The LTK would have "the restaurant industry's most innovative technology including I-Pod docks at the table." After waiting for a table at the bar, we sat down. Being the music nuts that we are, one of the first things we noticed was that are table did not appear to have an I-Pod dock thing. When we mentioned this to the waitress, she said she would bring the table one but we had to give her a credit card to hold in case we tried to steal it. She came back in a few with one of those I-Pod dock speaker things that you can buy at Best Buy for 49.99. (so much for our vision that there was an I-Pod dock thing built into the table) As for the menu, it was kinda small, but you could do the mix and match option where you picked your fish, picked how it would be cooked, picked the sauce you wanted with it and 2 sides. I went with the grilled Boston Scrod in lemon sauce. I also ordered a appetizer of calamari. The calamari never showed up; However, the Boston Scrod did and it was delicious. Everyone else at the table also reported that their meals tasted great. When the check came, we noticed that the calamari was on the bill even though it never came. She apologized and went back to take it off the bill while we all made speculative jokes about where the calamari was. If you want a good meal that is slightly different that what you can get at a normal Legal Sea Food restaurant, head over to the Legal Test Kitchen; Or if you want a good meal with "innovative technology" but don't want to head out to the South Boston Waterfront, you can just go to any other Legal Sea Food and bring some small portable I-Pod speakers with you.
For the record though I was slightly sarcastic at times in this review, we all had a good time, the food was good, and the prices where reasonable. http://www.ltkbarandkitchen.com/site/
