We always hear about horror stories on the T and I have had my fair share as well; However, tonight was the exact opposite. I got on the Blue Line at the Wood Island stop around 6:20. I headed inbound to Government Center,got off the train, went up the stairs, and I was immediately greeted by an inbound Green Line train. I took the Green Line one stop to Park Street, went down the strairs, and boom here comes a Red Line train toward Alewife. The Red Line train proceeded quickly to Harvard Square where I got off, walk down the ramp, went to the Bus Station and saw a #71 bus (or a trackless trolley, right Aly!?) coming out of the Harvard Bus Tunnel Of Mystery. I went in the bus and had a smooth ride without any traffic to Watertown Square and got off of the bus around 7:15. From Wood Island to Watertown Square in under an hour, not bad, not bad at all. In addition, there was no unexplained idling of the trains, the trains and buses where not overcrowded, there where no passengers smelling like a mixture of beer and urine and I got to listen to part of the current incarnation of my Boston Playlist on my Ipod. Good stuff:
