Instead of the current East vs. West format, the NBA All Star Game should be a pick up game tournament. The 20 best players in the NBA would be selected and then there would be 4 captains. (either 4 PG or 4 C) Each captain would then select his team. Then there would be a quick 4 team tournament. Instead of 48 minutes games, they games would be first team to 21 by 1s and 2s. There would be no free throws or refs. Instead players would make their own foul calls and retain the ball when one was called. (there would be less ticky tack foul calls because no one would want to look like the guy who is the biatch who calls a foul every time someone grazes him) All 4 games in the tournament would be played back to back and probably take a couple of hours at most to finish the entire tourney. This would provide a lot more excitement and drama then the current All Star format.
