It is being reported that Heather Mills is going to get over 48 million dollars as a divorce settlement. Mills was married to Paul McCartney for 4 years. If you break that down, that means Mills gets around 1400 dollars for every hour she was married to Paul. Recently former N.Y. Governor Elliot Spitzer paid Ashley Alexander Dupree 4300 for 3 hours of service which averages around 1433 dollars per hour which is close to what Mills got in her settlement. A few months back, the Seattle Mariners signed Carlos Silva to a four-year, $48 million contract which is what the Mills/McCartney marriage can be looked upon as. So what have can be learned from all this? not much except that a 1 legged wife, a high end prostitute, and a average right-handed pitcher all go for a similar rate.
