Opening Day

"J.D. Drew is a late scratch from this game" The second I heard that this morning, I thought ahh baseball how have I missed you. My life is not complete unless I am hearing about J.D. Drew being a late scratch from the game. I woke up and watched the first few innings of today's game while getting ready for work. The last major development before I got on my bike to ride to work was Snyder giving up the 2 run job to lose the lead. As I was riding up near the Harvard Square Bridge on my bike, I heard Moss hit his HR on my radio and screamed "fuck yeah"  loud enough to startle some near by walkers. As I kept riding, I was walking my bike around The Aurthur Fiedler footbridge near the Hatch Shell when Manny hit his double to take the lead. I then headed down more to work and park my bike in the garage. A quick check of the time showed I had enough time to hear the last half of the inning before having to report to work. (I was on the 10-6 shift today) I noticed while in the Dunkin Donuts line, that California Pizza Kitchen, though not open, had the game on. I walked over to watch it through the windows as about 10-15 other people gathered around to watch. Now and then someone would come over to ask the situation and I would quickly bark out what was going on. "Sox up 6-5, 2 on 2 out Papelbon pitching" and then shoot the person a look that sent the message, you know what is going on now shut up and watch. Papelbon was a little bit off, but he eventually got a grounder to end that game; I then gave a quick booyaa before running up the stairs to work and recount the game to the kids in class during morning activities time: my activity just so happened to be, making baseballs.
