In a close playoff game or in OT what happened to the playoff tradition of the ref's eating their whistles? I understand that they have to call obvious penalties like Thornton's high stick near the end of the third period; but, that tripping penalty on Reich in 0T was bullshit. He barely tapped his leg. That being said, the Bruins played better this game but not good enough to win. The B's started off strong in the first, but got outplayed the second half of the first period and all of the second period. They should be given props for coming out strong in the third and getting it to 2-2. However, they still did not have as many consistent scoring chances as Montreal during the game and needed a 5 on 3 to get one of their goals. Which leads me to the question why the hell was Kessel who is one of the Bruins best scoring threats a healthy scratch tonight? Did Kessel show up drunk? Did he sleep with a teammates girlfriend? Did he tell Claude Julien to go fuck himself? I don't get why he was not in there. There better be a good explanation for that.
