Breaking News (w/pics): Watertown's Peking Cuisine To Become Shiraz Cuisine
Bad news for people who love Chinese food in H2Otown and the surrounding area. The town's best Chinese restaurant Peking Cuisine went out of business. I loved the kung poa chicken, orange-Flavored Chicken, and the General Gal's Chicken from there and the owner was a cool guy who always remembered names and would talk sports especially the Celtics or Red Sox which the T.V. in there was always turned to. The sign outside the restaurant said that it is going to be replaced by Shiraz Cuisine which is going to be a Persian Restaurant. I called the old Peking number and the new owners informed me that indeed Peking Cuisine went out of business and Shiraz would be opening in 2 weeks. I got a menu for the new Shiraz Cuisine from outside the restaurant, and the food looks interesting but I am really going to miss having a good local Chinese place.

On my run yesterday morning, I also noticed this sign and took a menu. Just showed it to an Armenian-Iranian colleague at work and he said, "These people know what they are doing."
Teddy, we must be neighbors. I live on Hillside Road.

It's not too convenient, but the same folks run Peking Cuisine on Walnut Street in Newton. I'll miss the H20town version, but look forward to trying Shiraz.

I have been living in Philippines for the last 20 years. I visited china last year. I was amazed to view the numerous variety of delicious food like Almond Chicken Almond Cookies, almond Float, i remembered. While eating each individual diner is given his or her own bowl of rice while the accompanying dishes are served in communal plates (or bowls) that are shared by everyone sitting at the table. In the Chinese meal, each diner picks food out of the communal plates on a bite-by-bite basis with their chopsticks.
