I was riding my bike to Casal Bakery In Cambridge today, when I decided to head up Brattle Street instead of Mount Auburn Street looking at the nice houses. There I saw Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner walking with their kid Violet. I thought about snapping a photo with my camera phone to post on my blog or to try selling it to US Weekly or something, but did not for 2 reasons.
1. The Home Turf Principal: If it was an out of town celeb here filming a movie, then I would have taken a picture. However, Affleck grew up in Cambridge and one should not have to worry about people bothering you or taking random pictures of you in your home town.
2. The Voyage of the Mimi: I will always think of Affleck first and foremost as C.T. in the The Voyage If The Mimi which was the educational video series anyone who went to the Hosmer Elementary School (and other Boston area schools) had to watch a 1000 times in the late 80s and early 90s. It would feel kinda odd to stop my day and take a picture of freaking C.T.
