Sad Display By Blue Jays and Their Fans

I had a great time in Toronto. (pictures in next few posts) Aside from the Sox games, I went to the CN Tower, hung around Yonge Street, and Greek Town at night. The city was overrun with Sox fans. Overall the Blue Jays fans were too polite and only got into the game when the Sox fans started their chants. I was not going to be too hard on the Jays fans until IT happened. Going into the 9th inning of a tie game, a video played at the Sky Dome urging Blue Jay fans to get loud. That was not the worst of because I have seen stuff like that at many stadiums including in Boston. What was pathetic is that the video had a long ass explanation of why the Blue Jay fans should get loud. It told them it was a close game and now the Jays really need you and it went on to explain that home crowds can have an impact on the game. The worst part is the fans started cheering really loud for the first time all weekend without being prompted by Sox fans first. The Blue Jays have been around for over 35 years now and Toronto Maple Leafs have a proud tradition. Do they really need to be explained to why a crowd gets loud at a sporting event?
