Best Customer Service Ever At The Apple Store

I had been having problems with my ipod for the past week. Only one side of the headphones was playing and I knew it had to be a problem with the headphone jack because it was happening to any headphone or speakers I put in there. I was dreading having to bring it in to get fixed. Years of being a consumer and getting fucked over made me expect that even for something so simple that it would need to be sent to some far off place and maybe 4-6 weeks later I would get my ipod back. I went over to the The Apple Store on Boylston. The second I walk in, one of the seemingly 100s of smiling and energetic employees (they must give them all a hit of XTC or something before their shift) asked me if I needed help. After I explained my situation, I was told to go up to the "genius bar" on the third floor. When I got up there,  another one of the employees on XTC, helped me sign in to schedule an appointment at the genius bar so my ipod could be fixed. Initially he said I would probably need to wait 10 minutes but it ended up being more like 2. After I gave my ipod and explained the problem to the tech guy Vincent at the genius bar, he confirmed that the problem seemed to be with the jack when he tried his headphones. This was when I was expecting him to say something like "I would have to at least wait a few hours for it to be fixed, but most likely days or weeks." Instead, he said that I was still under warranty and asked if all my music was backed up. I said yes, so he just gave me a brand new ipod and I was on my way. Overall it was the best experience I ever had at a store's customer service center.
