Part of being a successful president aside from policy, is the actual nut and bolts running of your administration and making sure it is a tight ship. Obama ran the biggest and best organized campaign in the history of the country and gave the impression to the country that he is someone who has his shit together and can get shit done. Obama needs to keep up that impression in order to instill confidence in the American people. With that in mind, I like that he has already asked Rahm Emanuel to be his Chief of Staff. By all accounts, Emanuel is an asshole which is a good thing because he can play bad cop to Obama's good cop. I would not be surprised if soon we start hearing that Obama is going to pick RFK jr. to head the EPA and Chuck Hagel at the secretary of defense.
