New Eminem Song: "Number One" UPDATE
UPDATE: Below is my original post about this song. Here is the update, the reason it seemed Em was trying to rap like Dre was because he actually was trying to rap like Dre. Most of the rumors I am not saying is this is actually a leak off of Dre's album and the first and third verses are ones Em wrote for Dre to rap. Thus the slow flow and talk of riding in a low rider.
I liked Eminem's first new song in a minute "I am having A Relapse" a lot. It was a return to his sociopathic form. "Number One" is the second new song and is produced by Dr. Dre. It has a very laid back west coast beat and Eminem does a great job changing his flow up to a slower style that actually seems to be trying to imitate how Dre raps. Lyrically and in theme it is kinda boring in that he is just rapping about meeting up with Dre in LA again to produce some tracks and fucking some girls. Overall though it still makes you want to hear more. One of the reasons Lil Wayne has become so big is because unlike most rappers he can switch up his flow based on the beat, lyrics, and theme which is something Eminem is great at but many rappers can't do to save their life.
