How the NBC/Jay Leno Deal Helps Musicians
There has been much written about the whole Jay Leno/NBC move to 10pm and how is death blow to the traditional 10pm Drama slot. What I have yet to hear pointed out is that assuming they keep the tradition of having musical guests on the show this is going to be great for musicians. It will give musicians who are promoting an album or a tour a bigger audience to expose their music to. Furthermore, I would guess bigger name acts would gravitate towards Leno’s show which would open up even more slots for lesser known acts to perform on all the other late night shows.
